An open letter to all Christian voters.

Im sure this comes as no surprise to anyone but yesterday Nov. 6th 2012 we America voted our current President Barack Hussein Obama into his second term of Presidency. I’m not here to condemn anyone for voting the way they did regardless of who they voted for yet to get down to the core of what and why the outcome of the election was what it was last night. For years us as Christians have played the background during many important times in our nation and because of our silence we have been overlooked during times of decision making. To be honest I was quite surprised of the Christian turn out for this election we were loud and we let everyone know that we as a church were going to be heard during this time! Now the problem was not that we stood back and let things happen because that was not the case, the problem was that this time as the body of Christ we were more separated in our stance than Ive ever seen before, Christian vs. Christian, opinion vs. opinion, is that really what God wanted from us? Mark 3:5 says that “If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand” so why so much division in the church over this, how could we not come into an agreement with so much on the line? There is only 1 spirit and that 1 spirit will only speak what he Father has spoken, so how come our convictions were so different? As an American you have the right to vote as you want and I am no one to take that away from you, but as a Christian our job is to bring the order of God’s Kingdom onto this earth anyway possible. Can you truly tell me that God’s choice for us was to allow such things as;  abortion, legalization of weed, homosexual marriage, the lack of support for Israel and so much more into a country who’s slogan USED TO BE “One Nation Under God”. Obama has taken a firm stance against the gospel and we looked passed it. Now you can make the argument that Romney was out of touch with America and not the best candidate to run this country and I would agree with you, but truth be told Biblically he stood for the Gospel much more than Obama. What Ive heard mostly though from most who voted is that they were scared of loosing government help such as Food stamps, ect. And ok I get it we all have to eat and not all of us can afford to feed all of our families and some need help, but who is your trust in? Do you need the government to feed your family or do you believe that all provision comes from God? If you’ve ever read the Bible and have read the story of the prophet Elijah you would know that in time of need God sent ravens to feed him in the dessert. Why then forget all of the other stuff and vote out of fear, that is not what God asks of us and I truly feel that even if you were in agreement with the win yesterday that us Christians lost this election. Do I believe that God allowed Obama to retain his seat? Yes I do. Do I believe that God placed him there? No I don’t. We have a thing called free will and we as a nation exercised this during the election, we put him there not God. I do not mean to discourage or reprimand anyone for the choice they made election night but just to address what happened and where to go from here. Church it’s time to pray and pray hard! Not just for this country but for yourself, for your family, for your loved ones. We just gave this country in to sin and because of it we will see what we have never seen before in this country. Things are going to change and we need to be ready for the persecution that is to come. Let’s stand together in Faith, time is up Heaven is ready to open and receive the Church, what are you going to do about it. Are you ready?
