An open letter to all Christian voters.

Im sure this comes as no surprise to anyone but yesterday Nov. 6th 2012 we America voted our current President Barack Hussein Obama into his second term of Presidency. I’m not here to condemn anyone for voting the way they did regardless of who they voted for yet to get down to the core of what and why the outcome of the election was what it was last night. For years us as Christians have played the background during many important times in our nation and because of our silence we have been overlooked during times of decision making. To be honest I was quite surprised of the Christian turn out for this election we were loud and we let everyone know that we as a church were going to be heard during this time! Now the problem was not that we stood back and let things happen because that was not the case, the problem was that this time as the body of Christ we were more separated in our stance than Ive ever seen before, Christian vs. Christian, opinion vs. opinion, is that really what God wanted from us? Mark 3:5 says that “If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand” so why so much division in the church over this, how could we not come into an agreement with so much on the line? There is only 1 spirit and that 1 spirit will only speak what he Father has spoken, so how come our convictions were so different? As an American you have the right to vote as you want and I am no one to take that away from you, but as a Christian our job is to bring the order of God’s Kingdom onto this earth anyway possible. Can you truly tell me that God’s choice for us was to allow such things as;  abortion, legalization of weed, homosexual marriage, the lack of support for Israel and so much more into a country who’s slogan USED TO BE “One Nation Under God”. Obama has taken a firm stance against the gospel and we looked passed it. Now you can make the argument that Romney was out of touch with America and not the best candidate to run this country and I would agree with you, but truth be told Biblically he stood for the Gospel much more than Obama. What Ive heard mostly though from most who voted is that they were scared of loosing government help such as Food stamps, ect. And ok I get it we all have to eat and not all of us can afford to feed all of our families and some need help, but who is your trust in? Do you need the government to feed your family or do you believe that all provision comes from God? If you’ve ever read the Bible and have read the story of the prophet Elijah you would know that in time of need God sent ravens to feed him in the dessert. Why then forget all of the other stuff and vote out of fear, that is not what God asks of us and I truly feel that even if you were in agreement with the win yesterday that us Christians lost this election. Do I believe that God allowed Obama to retain his seat? Yes I do. Do I believe that God placed him there? No I don’t. We have a thing called free will and we as a nation exercised this during the election, we put him there not God. I do not mean to discourage or reprimand anyone for the choice they made election night but just to address what happened and where to go from here. Church it’s time to pray and pray hard! Not just for this country but for yourself, for your family, for your loved ones. We just gave this country in to sin and because of it we will see what we have never seen before in this country. Things are going to change and we need to be ready for the persecution that is to come. Let’s stand together in Faith, time is up Heaven is ready to open and receive the Church, what are you going to do about it. Are you ready?

Man Of FAITH starts Record Label, Signs his first artist's

"Closed doors always lead to the search for open one's, I put an end to a chapter of my music career, and when I was ready to take a break for a while the Lord spoke to me of different plans." As they say the end of something good always leads to the beginning of something better, that better in this case is Faith In Action Records a brand new label venture from Hip Hop Artist Man Of FAITH. "After closely studying the music business for years and recognizing what it takes to make it in this business, the ins and outs, what works and what doesn't I just wanted to give other artist's the chance I have to reach the world through music." FIA (short for Faith In Action) Records has stepped onto the scene with one main strategy and goal in mind, to spread the gospel through relevant and mainstream music. Along with being an artist on his own label the first signee from FIA Records came from Man of FAITH's protege and featured rapper on the hit single Comeback Kid, Giant Killa. The second signee came from upcoming pop artist Wake who's new single Call On Me featuring Man Of FAITH is making a BIG splash all over the Internet. "Building the team was easy for me, I know talent when I see it and I'm blessed to be connected with such amazing artist's who share the same vision as I do in music, we also have a DJ on the roster and we'll be working with him till he's ready to break into the industry. I'm still looking for one more artist though I'm hoping for a strong female on the team, and asking for God's direction." This is a label to be on the lookout for with a lot of great music to be released this year as well as touring. Join the movement and make sure you follow on  FaceBook and Twitter.

My Musical Journal by Man Of FAITH

Whether you know me or have heard my music or not, if your reading this I just want you to be encouraged and see how the faithfulness of God can take you to where he wants you to be.

All my life I've had a love and passion for music, as I'm sure most do as well but as I came into my teenage years it grew into more and I stared to exercise the talent that was placed in me. So I formed a group with my  2 cousins and we started writing songs, at that time we didn't take it seriously and just wrote songs to be comical, we created a myspace page which was cool back then and posted up our music, we received a good amount of plays but never pursued anything. I then moved to PA where I started going to a church where alot of the youth had musical talent. I befriended 2 sisters that were leaders in the worship team but also had a reggaeton trio put together. They spoke to me about there ministry and I told them I had some interest in making music as well so we started working together along with another cousin of mine, collaborating on music and set up some shows. I remember the very first show was in front of maybe 30 people during our church youth group, the kids took really well to the song I brought, and we got ready for our next show 2 days later. This time it was a show at a local high school, instead of 30 people in the crowd  there were hundreds! We performed and though my nerves got the best of me that night the sisters brought the house down! Our next show was the very next day at a town fair, we took the stage and the crowd came, we performed and the response was great, it's funny cause after the show we went out to eat and I told the group Im never doing this again!! Little did I know what God had in store for me, after being in a few more groups I was lead to start a career as a solo artist. I never expected much to come out of this, but I have always been a dreamer and I knew God could take the little I had and make it into something. 4 years later its 2012 and I Man Of FAITH am in the most beautiful season of my life. No I don't have everything I want or even need, but I have the promises of God and I can say Im truly blessed. Who could have thought that I would be seeing my dream become more and more true every single day. That the same one who almost quit after only 3 shows has gone on to performing in front of thousands more. That my very first release got me nominated for an award and has set me up to release my 2nd mixtape in the near future while working on my debut album at the same time. Let me tell you God is good and Faithful. What he promises he completes and though what I've experienced in my career hasn't been anything near what the Lord told me, it gives me hope for what's to come and I believe I will see it all come to pass in my life. God has placed an amazing team of people and supporters around me and there's no where to go but up. If you have a dream don' let it go, God made you in his image and he placed in you your dreams and the ability to pursue them. It's not easy, it's not always fun but it's worth it. Go for it! Be encouraged ,take your gifts and talents and move into the place God has for you, forget your situation and know that The Lords plans for you are greater than where your at right now all you have to do to get there is believe and move!!

Crossover Music The Only Way To Reach The Lost?

This is a BIG thing in music now a days Ive heard of so many artist's speak on this topic and I want to get into it a little. So what Ive heard is that most "christian artists" (mostly in hip hop) believe that they need what they call crossover music to reach the lost, now trust me I understand where they are coming from as a music artist myself my goal is to lead the lost to Christ as well as edify the church. I understand the need to feel you need to reach a broader audience, though we really need to understand that holy hip hop is a sub-genre and not one in itself, hip hop is hip hop and fans of it will not turn away if its good. Now the idea of crossover music is to have a religious based album, single, ect. and make it so that the unconverted will not be lead away by the beliefs behind it. Now I am not calling out artists that do this but In my way of thinking I take everything and weigh  it by the word of God. I remember years ago the cool thing for Christians was to wear those WWJD bracelets and it was a good way to really get your attention and ask yourself am I doing what Christ would do. So if I would really think would Jesus cover up the message of the Gospel to reach the lost? Absolutely not, we know that The word of God is enough to save the lost on its own, Jesus showed us that himself to take the authority and power of the word, its what will make the change. I learned something very useful from Holy Hip Hop Legend B.B. Jay as i was being taught by him about the music industry and its that music doesn't save people, but what it does do is set the atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to work inside the person and make it possible for salvation to come. If I'm not using the full power of the word of God in my music then the atmosphere is not going to be set and no one's life will be changed. As I write my music I ask the Lord to guide my pen and he really is the inspiration of my lyrics, he's the air I breath, he's my everything, how could I possibly make music about anything else or water down the gospel? With so many artists leading people away from Christ and even artists in this indusrty preaching Christ but in no way are making any movement for the lost it's time to Stand Out! I'm not telling anyone how to make their music, just be lead by the spirit and if your goal is to reach the lost then don't water down the message use it with power! Let's keep moving forward this movement of Holy Hip Hop is taking over, were on the rise and getting the exposure to reach the nations.

ABDC Season 6 Finale this Sunday! June 5 2011

If your like me then you've been watching America's Best Dance Crew since the beginning, yes it has lost some luster over the years but it still has what it takes to catch my attention. Personally I think ABDC has become more of a popularity contest more than a dance competition (that's why the kids are in the finals) but it doesn't overshadow that there really is alot of talent. Week 1 and 2 showcased the all crews, honestly I was not impressed with most of the crews except for Street Kingdom which if they had been consistent every week might have gotten to the final 2, but still before they left they had some amazing performances and really repped the kingdom! Great crews such as Street  Kingdom, Phunk Phenomenon, 787 Crew, & Request Crew have gone home and now its down to the 2 final crews; IaMmE and Iconic Boys. Personally this is a no brainier IaMmE is better in every way, every week they have proved to be a great crew with strong performances every time and the same cannot be said for the other team. Yet lets get this straight this is a voting contest and we all know the ones who have gotten Iconic Boys to the finals are 10-13 yo girls and they know how to vote! In the end Im hoping for justice when it comes to crowning season 6 winners, but looking back at past seasons the best team does not always win. Season 5 Blueprint cru lost to the inferior crew poreotics. Season 4  Rythm City didn't even make it to the top 3! Season 3 even though Quest crew was an awesome group I personally though Beatfreaks should have won. Anyways tune in this Sunday June 5 @7:30 on MTV to catch the winning team. I may have to boycott next season if IaMme don't win! Just saying.....
